New orders from Australia and Asia highlight Inprentus’ growing role in high-performance diffraction gratings for ICP-OES applications

The orders reflect increasing demand for Inprentus’ expertise in master grating fabrication, particularly for spectroscopy applications that require extremely tight efficiency specifications and two-dimensional resolving power requirements. In these applications, master gratings are used to produce replicas, making the quality, precision, and consistency of the original master essential to the performance of the replicated optics. For spectroscopy applications like ICP-OES, the specifications are extremely tight.
ICP-OES instruments use diffraction gratings to separate and resolve emitted light for elemental analysis across scientific, industrial, and analytical applications. For spectroscopy companies and grating manufacturers, producing a master grating that meets demanding optical performance requirements remains a significant technical challenge.
